1.     VS 1:2:        Saved that we may obey

2.     VS 1:14       We are to be obedient children not conformed to our former lusts

3.     VS 1:14       We are no longer ignorant of sin

4.     VS 1:14-15  We are to pattern ourselves to be like our Father who is holy:  natural result of salvation

5.     VS 1:17       We are to fear the Lord because He judges impartially

6.     VS 1:18       Thinking of how precious was the One sacrificed for our sins ought to motivate us

7.     VS 1:22       A true Christian has purified his soul for a pure love of the brethren

8.     VS 2:11       Abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul

9.     VS 2:12       TESTIMONY:  Keep your behavior excellent so that you will not be slandered as an evil-doer

10. VS 2:16       Don’t use your feedom as a covering for evil

11. VS 2:20       We must follow Christ’s example if we are called to suffer, and commit no sin in doing so

12. VS 2:25       Christ has healed us, having bore our sins on the cross, thus we should die to sin and live to righteousness

13. VS 3:10       If we want to love life and see good days, refrain our tongue from speaking evil and guile

14. VS 3:11       If we want to love life and see good days, we must turn away from evil and do good

15. VS 3:11       If we want to love life and see good days, we must seek peace and pursue it

16. VS 3:12       God’s ‘eyes’ are on the righteous (to watch us so as to protect, provide, and to bless us)

17. VS 3:12       God’s ‘ears’ hear the prayer of the righteous (to hear means to hear favorably so as to answer)

18. VS 3:12       The ‘face’ of the Lord is against evil doers (so that eventually they will endure His wrath)

19. VS 3:13       If you do good, really no one can hurt you (God causes all things to work for good-Rom. 8:28)

20. VS 3:16       If we keep a good conscience by our actions, then those who try to slander us will be put to shame

21. VS 3:17       If we must suffer persecution, it is better that we have suffered because of our doing good than for doing evil

22. VS 4:1-2     God desires that we live our lives not for the ‘lusts of men’ but for the ‘will of God’

23. VS 4:3        We Christians have all spent a sufficient amount of time having ‘pursued a course of sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousals, drinking parties and abominable idolatries’, we have nothing to gain nor to prove by continuing to live in sin

24. VS 4:15      We should by no means end of in suffering due to having committed murder, theft, have done some evil, or even have been a troublesome meddler in other’s affairs

25. VS 4:17      It is time for judgment to begin with the House of God

26. VS 5:8        We need to be sober and alert because the devil is prowling about as a roaring lion seeking someone to devour

27. VS 5:9        We need to resist the devil during our temptations by means of our faith in God and His promises to us

28. VS 5:10      God promises that after we have suffered for awhile that He will perfect us
